Running it at 2560 x 1440p at 75 hertz, and my external monitor turns black every ~30 seconds. My cable supports 4k at 60 hertz, and its a good quality cable. I have an external screen connected via a DVI-D to USB-C cable. From time to time, the external screen goes black, but the cursor stays visible on the external screen. The built-in screen on the laptop is fine.
